HAPPY NEW YEAR! It’s wild that it’s somehow 2019, but here we are! A couple of years ago, I decided to write a list of 17 things I wanted to accomplish in 2017 rather than making vague resolutions. I really enjoyed being able to cross things off the list and reflect back on it at the end of the year. Since 2019 is going to be a jam-packed year for me, I’ve partnered with Neutrogena®to make a new list of goals that promote relaxation, detoxing, and general self-care. So, without further ado, here are the 3 things I want to do in 2019.
Is the Hype Real? A Comprehensive Review of Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost Line
Thank you, Neutrogena® for sponsoring this post! đź’– As always, opinions are my own!
Seemingly unavoidable things like winter weather, acne treatments, and hot showers are constantly working against your skin to dry it out. I’ve been a Neutrogena girl since I was 13 years old, so I’m beyond excited to have partnered with them to bring you a comprehensive review of their Hydro Boost line. I’m going to break the line down product by product, and hopefully give you a better sense of whether certain products might be right (or wrong!) for you.

Canadian Tire's CANVAS Fall & Christmas 2017 Launch
Earlier this year I talked about Canadian Tire's lifestyle line, CANVAS, in my post about their spring/summer line launch. If my love of CANVAS wasn't clear enough from that post, or how often I posted photos from that launch on my Instagram feed, I'm back to talk about it some more. This summer, I was invited to check out what they'll be selling in stores for fall and Christmas and again, they didn't disappoint. Whether you're hoping to make the perfect Winter Wonderland, or simply need some cozy accents for your home, check out some of my favourite pieces from the lines below! Full disclosure: most (read: all) of them are Christmas-related.
Canadian Tire's CANVAS Spring/Summer 2017 Launch
In all honesty, I have had limited interactions with Canadian Tire as a brand in my lifetime. At 22, there haven't been many occasions where I've needed to do a Canadian Tire run, nor is it where I have chosen to spend my disposable income (or lack thereof). For the longest time, I just saw it as a store with "adulting" necessities, and knew that its Canadian Tire money was simply the butt of every joke, so I was taken by surprise when I found out about CANVAS, Canadian Tire's lifestyle line.
GLISS Hair Repair Launches in Canada
A few weeks ago, I was invited to the Canadian launch of Schwarzkopf's GLISS Hair Repair line! These products were highly anticipated because all of the GLISS formulas contain a unique hair-identical keratin that helps repair hair from the inside out! Essentially, they're hair care magic. Keep reading for pictures of the launch and my thoughts on whether the GLISS products live up to the hype.
Four Online Purchases to Make in 2017
I find the world of online shopping extremely overwhelming, but it's also the best way to find unique small (and online-only) businesses. It's insane to think about how many things we can purchase, and how many cool companies we can support, by simply clicking "add to shopping cart". Whether you're an online shopping addict, or you're just looking for some curated gems, here are my top four online shopping finds! Happy shopping!
New In Beauty: Kevyn Aucoin's Spring 2017 Collection
Kevyn Aucoin recently released three new products as part of its spring 2017 collection: the Neo Highlighter, the Neo-Limelight Highlighter and the Neo Powder Brush! I had actually never used any Kevyn Aucoin products before, but had constantly heard people raving about their bronzers (looking at you, Allana Davison). Nevertheless, I was keen to try them out (I mean, look at how PRETTY they are)! Keep reading for my hot take on whether or not these new products are worth purchasing this spring.
New Year, New You, New Watch! (*Giveaway*)
Wood watches have been taking the internet by storm and I have been extremely tempted to try one for months. I've been searching for quite some time for a watch that's significantly lighter than my metal one, yet still looks more professional than a plastic one. So naturally, when JORD approached me for a collaboration and giveaway opportunity, I couldn't say no.
Gift Guide: philosophy's Land of Hope and Wonder Holiday Collection
There is an endless list of reasons why Christmas is my absolute favourite time of year, but one of them is checking out all of the special holiday collections! Whether you're roped in by pretty packaging (like me), or appreciate a good bargain and the limited edition scents that come along with it, it's hard to avoid them. If you're still on the hunt for the perfect Christmas gift, or need a last minute stocking stuffer, here are some of the offerings from the philosophy holiday collection! How To Curl and Straighten Your Hair With Zero Heat - A Review of The Sleep Styler
Hair can be the worst. It can take ages to style if you're going for anything other than your "au naturel" look, and most hot tools end up damaging your hair. If you're someone who needs to give your hair some time to repair, or is looking for a way to minimize your hair-styling time in the morning, I've found it!
A Review: Murad's Environmental Shield
Like many others, I have a love/hate relationship with the sun; I love to frolic around on sunny days but hate the freckles it brings out, and the sun spots that never seem to fade. If you're like me and rarely listened to your parents' sunscreen policing, or you had that moment where you decided that looking two shades darker was more important than re-applying your SPF 50 sunscreen, you have come to the right place.
Forever Young: Murad's Age Reform Intensives
As a 20-year-old, I'm not super concerned about anti-aging/wrinkles just yet, but I am definitely keen to try anything that will
put both of these things off. After spending a lot of time outside in the sun this summer, I became conscious of some premature signs of aging on my
face when a few dreaded dark spots started to appear. To battle these dark spots early on, and attempt to try and erase the damage my many careless sunscreen-less days had caused, I turned to Murad's Age Reform line.
A Review: Murad's Blemish Control Travel Kit
As common as acne-fighting, clarifying and blemish control products are in the world of skincare, I still haven't found a go-to product for breakouts. As much as I love the Proactiv commercials where Justin Bieber is like "Hey girl, you can look flawless too with the help of Proactiv", I find that their products are too heavy-duty for my skincare needs. Enter the Murad Blemish Control Travel Set.
First Impressions: Benefit's Roller Lash Mascara
Last Friday Benefit Cosmetics released their new Roller Lash mascara.
My eyelashes are super straight and annoyingly sparse. According to a Google search this has something to do with the fact that I'm half asian, but who really knows. They tend to angle downwards meaning I need to do a lot of work with an eyelash curler to make them noticeable. This is what makes a mascara that curls so appealing to me, so I was the most excited when I found out that Benefit was releasing one.

A Review: Nirvana Perfumes by Elizabeth and James
I figured since I tell all of my friends about them, I might as well tell the internet. I'm usually really against "celebri-scents", but I have been using Nirvana White for over a year now, and Nirvana Black since last fall.
A Review: joeSCRUB Coffee Scrub
There are three things in the world that I have a love-hate relationship with; Candy Crush, coffee and body scrubs. Candy Crush is irrelevant to this post, so I'll save it for another time.
