Photo Diary: NYC Edition🗽

I went back to New York to visit some friends last week and to absolutely no one's surprise, I took a ton of photos while I was there. I ate my way through the city, went to Belmont Stakes (a once in a lifetime experience that I truly only want to experience once in my lifetime), and returned to l'Appartement Sezane (as seen in my New York, New York post) because it's a floral-loving blogger's dream. Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors Exhibit

Last weekend, I went to the Infinity Mirrors exhibit at the Art Gallery of Ontario. In case you have somehow evaded social media for the last few years, Infinity Mirrors is the incredibly photogenic and mind-blowing brainchild of Yayoi Kusama, a contemporary Japanese artist. The exhibit featured the infinity rooms, as well as some of her well-known sculptures and paintings. If you weren't able to snag a ticket but were hoping to catch a glimpse of the exhibit, look no further! 

New York, New York

While I usually make it to New York City at least once a year, I was extra motivated this year since about 10 of my closest friends moved there. I went once in April to celebrate the end of exams (and my first year of law school!), and once again over Thanksgiving with my family. Unlike my first few blog posts from NYC in which I wrote a lot about my trip, I don't have much to report since I spent most of it catching up with friends. But, as per usual, I ate a lot and took photos of almost everything, so I figured I'd share some of them! I apologize in advance for the iPhone quality shots, but what's a girl to do when she's on the move.

Christmas in NYC 2015

If you read my post from last Christmas, you'll know I'm a Christmas enthusiast. I LOVE Christmas. I LIVE for Christmas. I am the person who's Christmas lights go up in October and come down in April, and who watches Love Actually and listens to Michael Buble's Christmas album in the middle of July. Naturally I die a little bit when NYC whips out the insane Christmas decorations and window displays to celebrate the holiday season, so spending Christmas there again was a dream come true. 

NYC in Three: Day 2 & 3

The second day of our trip ended up being my all-time favourite day in New York City. We covered so much ground in what seemed like so little time, and managed to hit every place on our mental list without getting stressed about staying on schedule. We unintentionally stuck to a park theme for most of the day, so please excuse and/or enjoy the obscene amount of photos in this post. 

NYC in Three: Day 1

Early in May I went on a quick trip to New York City with my friends Maddie and Tess. After talking about taking a trip together for years, we finally scoured Airbnb, booked our flights and packed our carry-on bags. Maddie was turning 21, Tess was preparing to move to Australia, and I was looking to celebrate the end of final exams, so off we went.

Panamania - The Pan Am Games Take Toronto

I'm not sure if it's my competitive nature, my emotional tendencies, or both that get me so riled up whenever there's an international sporting competition. I tear up pretty much every 5 minutes during the Olympics; between the victories and the stories of overcoming adversity, or emotional advertisements that run every 20 minutes, I can't seem to catch a break. In any case, the Pan Am Games were no different. 

A Very Merry New York Christmas

Christmas in New York is simultaneously one of the most beautiful and terrifying things I have ever experienced. Beautiful in the sense that it promotes more Christmas cheer than "Whoville", and terrifying in the sense that, if possible, the city is 10 times busier than it is normally. As a self-proclaimed Christmas enthusiast, I loved every minute of it.
