New York, New York

While I usually make it to New York City at least once a year, I was extra motivated this year since about 10 of my closest friends moved there. I went once in April to celebrate the end of exams (and my first year of law school!), and once again over Thanksgiving with my family. Unlike my first few blog posts from NYC in which I wrote a lot about my trip, I don't have much to report since I spent most of it catching up with friends. But, as per usual, I ate a lot and took photos of almost everything, so I figured I'd share some of them! I apologize in advance for the iPhone quality shots, but what's a girl to do when she's on the move.

MIDTOWN/EAST VILLAGE

My family loves to stay in midtown because of its centrality, and most of my friends live in the East Village, so those are the places where I started and ended most of my days. Despite the fact that midtown is tourist central, it's still one of my favourite places to explore. I actually don't mind how busy it is, and I'm too attached to Bryant Park and Eataly (in the Flat Iron District).

I bought this purse on a whim at Topshop and I've been obsessed with it ever since so obviously, I had to include it. It reminds me of this amazing bedazzled pair of shoes I had in the '90s, and I'm constantly surprised by the number of compliments I get on it! Highly recommend if you're looking for a purse that is big enough to actually throw your phone into, and that stands out without clashing with the majority of your outfits.

NEW YORK PUBLIC LIBRARY

Weirdly enough, despite my love of Bryant Park, I had never been inside of the New York Public Library before this summer. While I always knew the outside of the building was pretty, I was shocked by the insanely stunning architecture on the inside, and how magical it feels to walk through. It's almost palatial. It's crazy to think it's just smack in the middle of 5th and 6th Ave. in New York.

BROOKLYN & CHELSEA

Chased those scenic skyline shots through Chelsea and Brooklyn (in exchange for a slight burn and a possible case of heat stroke).

SOHO

Two Hands is an adorable cafe that's run by Australians in the heart of Soho. After one of my best friends moved to Australia last year, I've come to appreciate Australian coffee, and this cafe did not let me down. While eating breakfast there, I ordered a flat white AND a latte because I couldn't get enough. It's also aesthetically pleasing af. Naturally, I also had to stop at Matcha Gracias (which is Instagram famous for numerous reasons). It lived up the the hype; both the matcha and coffee were amazing, and it has the coolest, inexplicable vibe.

NOLITA - L'APPARTEMENT SEZANE

THE COOLEST POP-UP SHOP. It's also where I took the photo that's at the top of this post. I wanted to live in this store. I wanted to purchase everything in this store. Unfortunately, I did neither.
