READ: "Are We Addicted To Stress?"

I started reading Darling Magazine after hearing Ingrid Nilsen talk about it in so many of her YouTube videos. They write so many relevant, interesting and genuinely helpful articles, so it was only a matter of time until I shared one of them. Nicole Zasowski (writer, speaker, marriage/family therapist) wrote this article which was featured on their website today about stress which really resonated with me.

"As much as I loathe feeling stressed, I wear it like a badge of honor. And what I've realized is that I cling to stress because I fear I am not worthy unless I am busy. I maintain an overbooked schedule because it makes me feel needed and successful. To give up the sensation of feeling stressed, for me, would be to give up feeling significant."

What do you think? Is it possible that you might be "addicted" to stress?

WATCH: Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

It seems like all I do nowadays is watch Netflix originals, but they just never seem to disappoint. This series was released almost 2 weeks ago and follows Kimmy Schmidt as she adjusts to her new life in NYC after being rescued from an Indian doomsday cult where she was held in a bunker for 15 years. Probably one of the WEIRDEST plot lines you've ever heard of right? Despite the crazy plot it is a comedy series, and has some of the best one-liners out of any TV show I've ever seen. This might have something to do with the fact that Tina Fey created it, but that's just a hunch.

The opening theme song is also one of the CATCHIEST (I wish I could double underline this) things I have ever heard. The internet seems to be obsessed with it too. Anyways, if you're looking for something short, sweet and light, watch this show. They're 20-30 minute episodes and you CAN watch the entire first season in less than three days. You don't have to, but you probably will.

LISTEN: Rixton's "Let the Road"

I've been following Rixton for just over 2 years since my friend introduced me to them in 2012. Their debut album "Let the Road" came out earlier this month and it's PHENOMENAL. A few of the tracks from the album have been out for a while but together they make up an incredible first album. Below is a link to the song, and even though it isn't one of the most popular songs from the album, (and it's got a completely different sound than any other track) its simplicity shows off how freaking amazing their voices are.
